Derek Revord Endowment

I established the Derek Revord Endowment in December 2010 at the Coastal Community Foundation in memory of Derek David Revord.  Derek was my roommate in college for two years.  He passed away about two years after college.  Long story short – his passing sent me on a crazy path of heading overseas for work and travel (and attending the USA World Cup matches in the 2006 World Cup in Germany).

The Derek Revord Endowment is my way to say “Thank you, Derek.”

The Endowment became fully endowed in the spring of 2012 and grants money to the Special Olympics South Carolina serving the Lowcountry. The Endowment’s 1st donation to the Special Olympics was in July 2012 and will continue to donate to the Special Olympics South Carolina serving the Lowcountry in perpetuity.

Total granted as of August 17, 2024 = $22,387
